Amy Grant is a singer/songwriter from Queens County, NS and has been performing covers, along with her own original music locally with bands and as a soloist for most of her adult life. A former member of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Amy now performs mostly as a trio (It’s All Relative) with her brother, Tim Whynot and daughter, Mandi Himmelman at local events such as The Hank Snow Tribute and Liverpool Privateer Days. She and Tim have also been performing with a Maritime Celtic group (Mersey Milton Connection) for a number of years and have partnered with the Queens Museum of Justice since September, 2022 as the creators and hosts of the Courthouse Concert Series which showcases the music of local guest performers.

Amy has an appreciation for all genres of music and describes her song writing as being an indie-folk-country type of style with hints of gospel and bluegrass. In 2016 she recorded her debut album, This Time Around, and has been continuing to write off and on since the album’s release. A few years after the release of This Time Around, she was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to open a concert for Catherine MacLellan but much to her disappointment, the event was cancelled due to Covid.
